The Artist

As a child I drew on everything, if my mom were alive today, she would fully agree! Her brand-new unstained kitchen cabinets were a testimony to my love of art. She hung my drawings of horses on the walls and refrigerator. I even had my own mini gallery in the dining room, but the cabinets were off limits or were supposed to be…

As I grew up I learned what I could and couldn’t draw on. Time got away from me, art was put on the back burner. However, I never lost that strong desire to paint. I came to a standstill in my early 30s, do I want to continue the job I was doing until I retire, or take on what was in my heart, the artist? I prayed every day “God, there has to be more, I feel like I have more to give to this life than what I am doing right now?”

So here I am, taking on what I believe was put in my heart to do. I am thankful to all who have been a part in making this happen and to my Saviour Jesus Christ, for the opportunity to do what I love.
